Join us for this carefully curated International Hiking trip to the scenic, mountainous, and coastal country of Portugal. We have a beautifully and elaborately planned hiking trip that will allow participants to explore the area of Sintra, Portugal; Setubal, Portugal; and Funchal, Portugal on Madeira Island. This trip has the perfect mix of hiking, city exploration, and social engagement. Please make sure to review the Portugal Trip Itinerary, read ALL the information provided below, review the waiver (mandatory to sign), and email info@destinationhike.com if you have any additional questions before registering.

There are only 25 spaces available for this trip. Our hotel stay for the first 3 days will be in Sintra, Portugal, and the last 2 days will be in Funchal, Portugal on Madeira Island. The names and locations of the hotel will be provided to those who register for the trip. Each hotel is a 4.0 rated hotel   This adventure starts Sunday, September 15, 2024 and ends Saturday, September 21, 2024. Traveler arrival time and departure time will be discussed with registered participants** Do not schedule your flight prior to registering for the trip** We are going to do our best to schedule the timing of when people arrive as close as possible. The time of your outbound flight will be determined once we have the travel participants locked in. Please note that travel arrangements will require two (2) one-way flights. The first flight will be from your airport location of origin to Humberto Delgato Airport. Your second flight will be from Madeira International Airport - Cristiano Ronaldo back to your airport location of origin. Flight is not included in your registration but a separate expense. You can expect to spend between $800-$1200 on this International flight.

*Dietary restrictions have been considered and we have been ensured that there are restaurants, stores, and markets in the area to accommodate all dietary inclusions such as vegan, vegetarian, pescetarian, glutton free, kosher, keto, and more.

Flight arrangements are not included. You need to purchase your flight separate from the payment required for this trip. If you are interested in extending your trip, please note you are responsible for any additional arrangements for the trip.

Registration will begin February 1, 2024. Registration will close on February 29, 2024. There are 25 spaces available. If there is a waitlist, there will be consideration to open up the trip for more spaces and will be done in the order individuals were placed on the waitlist.

Please make sure only to register if you have completed the following:

Are able to financially commit to the monthly payments and assigned due dates

Are able to financially able to purchase your flight ((2) one-way tickets)

Assured you are able to arrive and depart at the scheduled times

Get your own personal Doctors checkup confirming you are healthy enough to travel 1 month prior to the trip - We will be doing extensive hiking and it is your responsibility at the registrant to make sure you are physically healthy and capable of completing all hikes.

**If you have any questions regarding this trip or missed the Zoom Call, please make sure to email info@destinationhike.com before registering for this event.**

There will be a late payment fee of $25 applied each day for up to 5 days after the payment due date. After the 5th late fee, you will be removed from the trip list. Money will be refunded minus the late payment fee and minus the deposit which is non-refundable. If removal happens after April 30, no money will be returned.

Please note that the weather in Sintra, Setubal, and Funchal to be in the mid to high 70’s in the daytime with high to low 60’s in the evenings.

Refunds/Cancellations

If for whatever reason you need to cancel your registration for this trip, you can receive a partial refund if requested by April 30. The deposit is non-refundable. A refund in the amount of 50% of what was paid less the deposit, and less any late fees will be returned. Any cancelations after April 30 will not be eligible for a refund.

It is suggested that you purchase trip insurance on your flight in case you are unable to attend.

You can make payments in larger amounts than the minimum amount due. If you chose this option you need to make sure that you are keeping up with the timeline of the total balances due by the number indicated next to the payment schedule.
