Join us this Spring weekend with a relaxing 2 days and 2 nights by the water. Come ready to explore, relax, and enjoy the calm energy that the water provides.

Included recreation: Hiking, Sunrise Yoga

Optional recreation at this location includes: Fishing, beach swimming, kayaking, canoeing, biking.

Food is not included for the weekend, so you will need to bring your own breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

This is a trip you don't want to miss. This weekend we will explore beautiful hiking trails surrounded by water. Not only will you experience beautiful trails, but you also will be able to kayak and canoe up and down Breakneck pond. Group games, socializing, exploring, and relaxing are all a part of this travel weekend of fun.  We will campout in covered tent platforms with secured only for Destination Hike participants. All meals are included in this weekend served by the AMC staff in the dining hall.

You don't want to miss this opportunity to truly experience all that the land and water have to offer.

Stargazing Weekend

July 22- July 24

Coudersport, PA

Have you ever just wanted to lay down under a dark sky and gaze at the stars? If so, try something new this weekend with Destination Hike! Do not delay in registering. Campsites for this location during this time of the moon phase have been booked for months! We will travel to Cherry Springs, a declared International Dark Sky Park by the Department of Conservation for Natural Resources. Registration is limited, therefore, solo travel is not available. Due to the amount of tent sites per location, only pairs, triples, and quads will accepted.

August 10- August 14.

This 5 day retreat is for the Explorer, the Adventurer, the one who truly wants to disconnect from the world and totally tune in to nature. Travel with us deep into the wilderness of Maine along the Appalachian Trail. Your stay will be at a remote Appalachian Mountain Club Lodge, where you will have breakfast, lunch, and dinner included. Guided hiking tours, boat rides, exploration, and serenity of the Maine wilderness with likeminded individuals. This trip is for Intermediate hikers and above. If you are local, you will need to have participated in one of the Pacer Hikes. If you are coming from out of state, you will need to show a record of your hiking pace to ensure that all attendees are able to move as one unit. Please make sure you attend all of the informational conference calls regarding this trip. If flying in, arrival time and departure time have to be around a specific time frame as there is a significant drive from the airport to the Lodge. Driving yourself to the Lodge is also an option.

Activities and events are only for individuals who are registered. Requests to have non-registered individuals meet the group at any event will be denied.

*Must have completed at least 1 Pacer Hike. See "Hikes/Events" tab

*Must be able to produce a negative COVID test 1 week prior to trip dates

*Must provide a health screening from a doctor 2 weeks prior to the trip.

100 Mile Wilderness

DESTINATION HIKE DOES LAS VEGAS, NV

Wednesday, October 26- Monday, October 31

This trip will totally change your perspective of Las Vegas, NV. Staying in a hotel away from the Strip and closer to the rugged mountainous terrain, you will be surround by like minded individuals who want to tackle the Nevada mountains as much as you do.

This is an Intermediate Hiker Trip. You must be comfortable with long distances, rock scrambles, elevation, and changing terrain. 

Activities and events are only for individuals who are registered. Requests to have non-registered individuals meet the group at any event will be denied.  

Registration requirements:

*Must have completed at least 1 pacer hike. See "Hikes/Events" tab

*Must be able to produce a negative COVID test 1 week prior to trip dates

*Must provide a health screening from a doctor 2 weeks prior to the trip.
