Tree Planting- Destination Outdoors
What better way to give back to the earth, than to plant more trees! Trees help the air we breath, absorb pollutant gases like nitrogen oxides, ozone, and carbon monoxide, and sweep up particles like dust and smoke. Bring your green thumb to make a difference in the world.

Join us for this AMAZING day of planting trees. As a way to give back to nature we have partnered up with Friends of Stony Run to plant trees in the Baltimore Area. This event is also sponsored by the Maryland Department of Resource Forest Service. Please arrive on time (being at designated location after parking) so we can get all of the great work done during the time alloted.
How to Prepare:
1. Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty and can hike in. There will be dirt, water, mud, leaves, and other natural elements that may end up on your clothes, hands, hair, etc.
2. There will be slight lifting, digging, shoveling, etc that will require you to exert physical force.
3. Bring water to stay hydrated. Being outside in the Spring heat and planting trees exerts physical energy. Make sure you have properly ate prior to coming and you stay hydrated while participating.
4. Gloves and supplies will be provided to all those that attend.
5. Items suggested to bring are: Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, backpack, snacks,
6. Optional lunch meetup afterwards at Avenue Kitchen & Bar. If this location is not available we will find another location that day. Each person will pay for their own lunch.
